Web design for Basel and Baselland: websites for a region with three countries
Your customers come from Basel-Stadt, from Baselland, and often from Lörrach or Saint-Louis too. We build websites that get found in this region, and keep looking after them afterwards.

Your catchment does not stop at the cantonal border
Basel is the only Swiss city whose daily life runs across two national borders. Part of your customer base lives in Germany or France and works here, another part lives here and shops over there. For a website that means something very concrete: the place someone types into a search is not necessarily the place you stand in.
Someone in Lörrach looking for a dentist searches for Lörrach or for Basel, depending on what they expect to find. Someone from Reinach searches for Baselland or for their own municipality, not for Basel-Stadt. So for this region we do not build one location page, we build a structure covering the municipalities and terms your enquiries actually come from. Which ones those are is something your existing customers answer more reliably than any keyword tool.
Basel has its own agencies. Why us?
We work remotely, and we will not pretend that puts an agency two tram stops away at a disadvantage. The thing a website project actually fails on is almost never distance.
It fails because after launch nobody is responsible any more. The site goes live, the final invoice arrives, and two years later it advertises an offer that no longer exists while the load time has quietly slipped. That happens to an agency with an office on Freie Strasse exactly as it does to one that has never been to Basel. What helps is a contract with care included, and someone who gets in touch before you notice something is wrong. That is what is part of the package here.
The second difference is pace. Because there is no shared afternoon to find, the work starts as soon as the first call is done. You get a preview link, you comment directly on the page, and we keep building while you are still writing.
What runs differently in the Basel region
The city runs on life sciences, logistics, culture and trade fairs; Baselland on trades, industry and local services. Two fairly different worlds with two fairly different demands on a website.
Offers that need explaining
Suppliers and service firms around pharma and industry sell nothing you grasp in one sentence. The structure has to carry the explanation.
Local services in Baselland
Here proximity counts. Municipality, catchment, opening hours and reviews decide the enquiry, not a glossy look.
English is not optional
In a region full of international employers an English-speaking prospect is the norm, not the exception.
Seasons and occasions
Fairs, Fasnacht, the cultural programme: anyone living off those needs pages that change with the calendar, not every three years.
Getting found without bidding on every search
For a local business, organic visibility is the cheapest channel there is: the enquiry comes from someone already searching for your service and costs you nothing per click. The price is patience, and the work is a set of unglamorous things that make the difference anyway.
A dedicated page per service instead of a homepage saying everything at the same volume. A Google Business Profile whose details match the website, down to how the address is written. Reviews that actually get collected, because the ask sits in the right place. And a site that loads fast, because in a market full of equally good options waiting is the most common form of leaving.

We do not just build the page, we fill it too
A website needs images, copy and visitors. We came out of content production, we have done social media since day one, and we run the advertising when organic is too slow. For you that means one point of contact for the whole digital presence instead of three suppliers emailing each other files.

Therapy Medhi lives on people searching nearby who need an appointment this week. There we built the website and run the Google Ads. omnivo is the second website, for an offer nobody buys without an explanation. At Lolipop it was not web work but brand, content and social media for a shop serving walk-in and online customers at once. Each card says which work it was.

Common questions
Yes, and in practice that is a question of site structure rather than location anyway. If your customers come from Liestal, Allschwil or Reinach, those places belong in the pages and in the Google Business Profile. We look first at where your existing customers actually come from, and build the structure around that.
It depends on whether those customers add up for you. For a practice, a restaurant or a shop in Basel often yes; for a trade business with Swiss prices and Swiss permits often no. We settle that before the structure, because cross-border visibility means extra pages and partly French content, and that costs money which is only well spent if the answer is yes.
If the engineering holds up and only the content is out of date, revising is cheaper and usually the better call, because the site keeps the visibility it already has. Rebuilding pays off when the site is slow, breaks on a phone, or has a structure with no room for new services. After a look at the existing site we tell you which of the two is cheaper for you, even when that is the smaller job.
